This department is specifically designed to make residents of the catchment area aware of the available mental health services and to educate the population as to problems and warning signs that could be used as preventive help for emotional disturbances in everyday life. A variety of short presentations are presented through a Speaker’s Bureau for civic organizations, businesses, schools, etc... Contract training is also available to meet specific training needs for business and industry. 

The Education Department is responsible for all news releases, public service announcements and the set-up of displays, along with direct public relations for CSEA. The Education Department in collaborative efforts with other staff, works to expand educational programs, workshops and seminars.

A major goal of the Marketing and Education Department is to reduce the Stigma attached to mental illness.
